For over 20 years, I've applied my entrepreneurial spirit to business management, program management, customer research, and technology management. I have a lifelong commitment to learning and self-development, with a Certificate in Non-Profit Management from University of Illinois-Chicago, an M.S. in Human Factors from University of Massachusetts-Amherst, a B.S. in Computer Science from University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a Certificate in Project Management from University of Wisconsin. I have owned my own consulting business of 13 employees, as well as worked as a researcher and program manager for large organizations such as Microsoft.
I feel that my most rewarding work has been helping old homeless dogs. I was a foster home for OldDog Haven for several years, as well as organizing their fundraising strategies. In 2008 I left Microsoft to found The Grey Muzzle Organization, a non-profit that helps homeless senior dogs. In 2009 I also started Silver Pearl, a company that helps senior citizens with their pets and personal bookkeeping, as well as small businesses and non-profits. I live with my husband Barry, who is also a huge supporter of senior dog rescue, and two old dogs.
